Fractional Chief Medical Officer (CMO)
Expertise
Value-Based Payment Models & Risk-Bearing Strategy
Navigating the transition from volume to value requires a sophisticated command of the financial and clinical architecture underlying modern healthcare. My expertise centers on the design and oversight of high-stakes, risk-bearing structures, including Medicare Shared Savings Program (MSSP) ACOs, the Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE), and diverse pay-for-performance arrangements. By integrating compliant risk adjustment frameworks with innovative shared savings and incentive compensation models, I help organizations align their clinical delivery with financial sustainability, ensuring they achieve their fullest potential within an ever-changing regulatory and payer environment.
Population Health & Complex Care Management
Driving excellence in population health management requires a proactive, evidence-based approach to the entire care continuum. I focus on scaling clinical programs that close gaps in care, enhance patient safety, and master the orchestration of complex care for chronic conditions. By optimizing care transitions, patient safety, and the integration of palliative care with advance care planning, I enable organizations to manage high-cost, high-need populations with precision. This holistic approach reduces unnecessary utilization while fostering a culture of high-quality, patient-centered care.
Inter-Professional Engagement & Integrated Operating Models
True clinical transformation is driven by the human element: the alignment and engagement of the provider workforce. I develop comprehensive strategies to bridge the gap between management and clinical teams through integrated operating models and enhanced provider communication. By embedding performance management into the organizational fabric—utilizing balanced scorecards and transparent team-building initiatives—I foster a unified culture of accountability. This ensures that every member of the inter-professional team is motivated and empowered to meet the enterprise’s strategic value-based goals.
Clinical Analytics & Technology-Driven Transformation
In a data-rich environment, the competitive advantage lies in the ability to turn information into actionable point-of-care insights. My work leverages integrated data and predictive modeling to identify and prioritize gaps in care for providers, aligning with performance benchmarking and strategic priorities. By leading technology-driven transformations—including the integration of clinical decision support within EHR workflows, the expansion of telemedicine, and the deployment of mobile documentation—I ensure that digital tools serve to streamline care rather than complicate it. This approach transforms clinical analytics from a retrospective reporting tool into a proactive engine for organizational change.
